MedMicro uses standard PCs to connect microscopes to the Internet, allowing users to view and navigate slides from across town, across the country, or down the hall. Using the free MedMicro Viewer software, high fidelity images appear in real time in 24-bit true color. And because the system works with existing equipment over standard Internet connections, MedMicro requires minimal hardware and no fixed data lines, putting it within the budgets of corporations, universities, research labs, and hospitals.

How It Works
At the microscope end, an automated microscope is attached to a standard PC running MedMicro. Once connected to the Internet, users can log onto and control the microscope from anywhere using the MedMicro Viewer. Images appear on screen in real time, and the Viewer allows full navigation of the slide, including control of objective, focus, and illumination. Developed for microscopy, MedMicro transmits images in 24-bit true color. And because the computers communicate through Internet Protocol (IP), MedMicro can be used over the Internet or on any Local Area Network (LAN).
Across industries, MedMicro addresses the inefficiencies of traditional microscopy, generating value creation opportunities previously impossible.
