Fluorescence Illumination System — X-Cite™ 120
 The EXFO X-Cite™ 120 system is ideally suited for fluorescence microscopy applications because it provides excellent image quality, lower operating costs and improved productivity. It uses a 120-watt lamp to deliver rich spectral excitation with a more uniform field of view than conventional fluorescence illumination systems. The proprietary Intelli-Lamp™ technology helps to provide more than 1,500 hours of life. The lamp is pre-aligned so changing it is a simple, one-step process. The optional adjustable iris allows the user to set the level of illumination.

The X-Cite 120™ PC system is ideally suited for computerized fluorescence microscopy applications. It uses a 120-Watt lamp to deliver rich spectral excitation with a more uniform field of view than conventional fluorescence illumination systems. The proprietary Intelli-Lamp™ technology helps to provide over 1,500 hours of life with a prealigned lamp to make changing a simple one-step process. The RS-232 interface and software enabling features allow customers to control the iris, lamp, built-in shutter and timer via computer. The X-Cite™ 120 connects to the microscope through a light guide attachment ensuring a uniform field of view, with no heat from the lamp being transferred to the sample.
